My art practice draws from research and reflection on sensory and auto-ethnography, anthropology, sociology, post-colonialism and activism

Using a range of alter egos, I explore the fluidity of a personal cultural identity and the complexities of navigating different sociocultural spaces as a person of colour

I work with sound, moving image, typography, photography, spoken word, clothing, and text to immerse the viewer in languages, codes and systems used by social and subcultural groups

Through cross-examination of the creation, expression, preservation and suppression of cultural identities, the work merges personal, historical and contemporary material in order to imagine immersive and experiential future cultures

Currently living and working in Margate, England
